With a First Class (Hons) Degree in Biology and Chemistry, 15 years working in arthritis research followed by 20 years in Education Leadership, I decided to redress my work-life balance and look for a new challenge, it was an easy step into Soft Tissue Therapy, combining my interests in science, eduaction, exercise and helping people.
I am a full member of the Sports Therapy Association (STA) and the ISRM (The Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists) and I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my knowledge and skills are always current and applied to my practise. I am fully insured with Balens specialist insurance brokers.
I developed my interest in Soft Tissue Therapy and Sports Massage through my own interest in sports, health and well-being and, as a runner, my own treatment of a running injury which helped me with my rehabilitation and speeded up my return to running. I further benefited from building in regular soft tissue therapy and sports massage treatment sessions into my training plan which, alongside pre- and post-event treatments, not only helped me perform better but also helped me to recover faster.
I have a personal, client centred approach and use a range of advanced techniques to help you achieve your goals.

Sarah initially trained as a dancer and musical theatre performer before moving into teaching dance for the ISTD. After sustaining an injury whilst performing, she looked towards another career direction and chose chiropractic as she had found this to be most helpful to herself in the past in reducing pain and overcoming injury quicker.
Sarah studied for 5 years at the AECC in Bournemouth gaining her Masters degree in Chiropractic in 2008. She is a member of a local choir and a 50’s quartet where she performs in several concerts a year, including care homes and festivals.
An avid reader and lover of history, her favourite place to be is Paris with a good book and a glass of wine! She plays the violin, piano and ukulele and enjoys swimming and yoga when her two children permit her time off!

I started out life wanting to be a dentist but things didn’t go quite to plan! The obvious choice was then a degree in Biochemistry, a year spent working for a pharmaceutical company followed by 4 years in medical research! I worked both at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the National Institute for Medical Research. A change in career was prompted by a back injury and the subsequent meeting with a chiropractor in London. After gaining my chiropractic degree in 2001 and working in other clinics Lowford Clinic was born in 2003, almost on the same day as my eldest daughter Lily was born. I have another daughter Ruby and have been with my wife Viv since I was 19. Outside of work I enjoy photography and long walks with our Vizsla Lola.
